From the desk of our preachers.

I remember as a child sitting in front of our old black and white television watching “The Amazing Adventures of Superman.” This was a show about a crime fighter who came from another world with “…powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal man.” One of those abilities was x-ray vision. This allowed him to spot the bad guys even when they were hiding in a building. This was amazing, but we can do something better than superman.

Our Creator has given us the ability to see things that are invisible. Romans 1:20 teaches that God’s “…invisible attributes, His power and His divine nature are clearly seen.” Wow! What power we have! Everyone can do this. How? Paul continues, “…being understood by through what has been made.” By looking at the universe around us, we can truly understand how it was created.

Consider the Russian cosmonaut who upon reaching space said, “God is not here.” Then consider the American astronaut who, upon reaching space, said, “God is everywhere.” What made the difference? One had an open mind, while the other did not.

From Psalms 19:1-6, we learn that each day pours out speech, while night time reveals knowledge. Creation’s “voice and utterance” has gone out through all the earth. Superman was a story of fiction with the creation is very real. Do you hear what it says?
